This Isn’t Just a Wellness Retreat—It’s a Necessity.
Most women wait until they’re completely drained before they allow themselves to rest. You push through exhaustion, you handle everything for everyone else, and you tell yourself you’ll slow down later. But later never comes—until your body forces you to stop.
At Skinnyish Wellness Travel, we believe you shouldn’t have to hit burnout before you prioritize yourself. That’s why we create stress-free, restorative travel experiences designed for women navigating midlife, menopause, and the overwhelming demands of life.
This isn’t just about travel. It’s about reclaiming your energy, your peace, and your right to rest—without guilt.
Why It Feels Impossible to Rest
(And How We Change That)
Most women in midlife struggle to take a real break. Here’s why:
You feel guilty prioritizing yourself. t.
You’ve been conditioned to put everyone else first.
Planning a trip feels like work.
The research, the logistics, the decisions—it’s exhausting.
Wellness spaces aren’t designed for you.
They cater to younger women who don’t understand menopause, stress, or midlife exhaustion.
You don’t want to go alone.
But finding someone with the same needs and schedule isn’t always easy.
How We Make It Easy:
We handle all the planning—just show up.
Our retreats are menopause-friendly, built for real rest.
No packed schedules or unrealistic wellness routines.
Join a community of women who understand what you’re going through—no explaining required.
From Helping Women in the Treatment Room to Helping Them Around the World
For years, I worked one-on-one with women as a licensed massage therapist, helping them relieve stress, tension, and pain that had built up from years of putting themselves last. I saw firsthand how exhaustion wasn’t just about being “busy”—it was about carrying the mental, physical, and emotional weight of everyone around them.
What I also saw was that one massage wasn’t enough. Women needed more than just temporary relief—they needed true restoration. But when they tried to take a break, they faced a new set of challenges: planning a vacation felt like another job, their needs weren’t considered in mainstream wellness spaces, and they returned home feeling just as tired as before.
My own turning point came when I realized I was telling women to prioritize their health while I was running on empty myself. I was burned out, exhausted, and trying to push through. The more I saw my clients struggle, the more I knew something had to change—for them and for me.
That’s why I created Skinnyish Wellness Travel—a space where women can experience real rest, without worrying about logistics, expectations, or being “on” for anyone else. As our bodies are changing, Skinnyish represents an inclusive, positive space that’s totally about the vibe and not a SIZE!
Why Restorative Travel Is Essential for Women in Midlife
Chronic stress increases cortisol, which worsens menopause symptoms like insomnia, brain fog, and weight gain.
Poor sleep affects hormones, energy levels, and mental clarity—making it harder to feel like yourself.
Research shows that breaks reduce inflammation, support heart health, and enhance emotional resilience.
Why Women Trust Shadonne
With Their Wellness Journey
“Shadonne genuinely understands the unique challenges of menopause. In my sessions with her, she's shown exceptional knowledge about how to address the physical discomfort that comes with hormonal changes. Her compassionate approach makes all the difference.”
“What I appreciate most about Shadonne is that she listens. As a menopausal woman, I've had too many experiences with practitioners who dismiss my concerns. Shadonne creates a space where I feel completely understood and supported.”
“Shadonne has a gift for making you feel comfortable discussing the uncomfortable aspects of menopause. Her practical, down-to-earth approach has given me strategies I use every day to manage my symptoms with more confidence.”
Women are taught to push through exhaustion, to keep going no matter what, and to feel guilty when they take time for themselves. But ignoring what your body needs doesn’t make you stronger—it just makes you more depleted.
You don’t have to reach the point of burnout before you give yourself permission to rest. You don’t have to justify why you deserve a break.
You just have to decide that you’re worth it.
And we’re here to make that decision easy for you.
